We are now offering booster vaccine doses for COVID-19. Check if you're eligible:
Spring Booster - Eligibility:
- Age 70 or older
- Age 5 to 69 with a weak immune system
- Residing in a nursing home or residential care facility for older adults
Please wait 6 months since your last COVID-19 vaccine or infection before booking your spring booster. However, if you wish to receive your spring booster before the end of May, you can do so 3 months after your last vaccine or infection.
Booster Doses while Pregnant - Eligibility:
You can receive a COVID-19 booster once during your pregnancy. Please wait 6 months after your last vaccine or booster. The optimal time to get your booster dose is between 20 and 34 weeks of pregnancy, but you can receive it at any stage. If it has been more than 12 months since your last COVID-19 vaccine or infection, you may be offered a booster dose earlier in your pregnancy. If you have a weak immune system, you usually only need one booster dose during pregnancy. However, if you have a weak immune system, you can receive a second booster 6 months after your last vaccine or infection.
First Booster Dose - Eligibility:
- Age 12 or older
- Age 5 to 11 with a weak immune system
Please wait at least 4 months since your last COVID-19 vaccine or infection before booking your first booster dose.
Why Get a Booster Dose?
It's crucial to stay up-to-date with your COVID-19 vaccines, even if you have already been vaccinated or had COVID-19. Over time, the protection from previous doses or a previous infection may weaken. By getting a booster dose, you can reduce the risk of severe disease, hospitalisation, or death from COVID-19.
Booster Immunity:
Please note that it may take up to 7 days for a COVID-19 vaccine booster dose to be effective.
