Lilly's Diabetes Check

We offer a quick blood test in the pharmacy that can measure something called HbA1c which is a predictor for whether or not you are pre-diabetic.

What's HbA1c?

It's a measure of how much glucose (sugar) is attached to the Haemoglobin in your blood. This is a guide to what your sugar levels have been like over the last 2 or 3 months. It's a great indicator of whether or not Diabetes is a risk in the future.

Do I need to be fasting?

No you don't as it's not a measure of your blood sugar levels at that exact moment.

Will you give me my results?

Yes we'll give you a record of your results and keep them on file too if you want us to keep an eye on it.

Will you give me advice?

Yes we'll run through the results with you and advise you from a dietary and supplement perspective what steps you should take going forward.
